My travels with boat cross Siberia ended up with an expedition to Sayan land late July. We traveled Kitoy river and its tributaries, on the footprints of Adidas team. Here's Tom's story about their trip. We ran some waterfalls, walked long ways with boats across taiga and visited amazingly beautiful places. Circumstances - here.
KayakUSSR team is a group of experienced kayakers brought together by one passion - whitewater. These guys have traveled through Europe, Scandinavia, America, Russia, Africa and Asia in search of what the ultimate whitewater adventure is, and what kayaker's heaven should look like.
As a team KayakUSSR performed a huge number of whitewater projects, including expeditions and first descents on the rivers of Caucasus, Sayan, Pamirs, Tyan-Shan and it's ridges - different Alatau.
KayakUSSR is founder of annual project - expedition for the best white water in Russia - in Altai mounts. Every year more and more paddlers from all over the world take part in it. We had a great time paddling with kayakers from Germany, USA, UK, Ireland and Austria.
You can find more personal details of the main team members below. But the team is bigger then this. It's too hard to mention all. Guides, mechanics, drivers, cooks and local tour-operators. A lot of other cool dudes who commit their work to this project but usually stay beyond the scene.

Vasilii lives in Altay and has been paddling Siberian rivers for many years in a row. He is the main motor of the most kayakUSSR expeditions. He's our field general. Knows everything, has been everywhere. Lives for 6-7 months of paddle season every year on the rivers in mountains and woods and at the end of the season usually gets litle bit wild.
His paddling experience and knowledge of USSR rivers can scarcely be overestimated.
Antonio was champion of Russia in whitewater slalom. He is our magic rescue wand. If you scared of white water getting more desperate than you can paddle, just keep closer to him and you'll be safe. He will catch not only you but your boat and even paddle.
